Concentrate Evaporation

CONCENTRATE EVAPORATION
THERMOCHEMICAL SYSTEM

The thermochemical system developed to eliminate the concentrate (resulting from the treatment of leachate through the osmosis process) is a compound that makes it possible to complement evaporation with the addition of chemicals, with the final destination of the concentrate being only a low volume of ash, which can be discarded in the landfill itself.

The volume eliminated at a temperature of 800ºC is 35 to 40m³ per day.

The evaporator used in the process described above is made up of a system of compartments distributed so that the flow of concentrate and chemical products remains in constant circulation.

The steam is eliminated through chimneys that are equipped with filters and gas scrubbers; and the purge and sludge system goes directly to the collection box.

COMPONENT ELEMENTS OF THE THERMOCHEMICAL SYSTEM

Image showing a concentrate evaporator.

This is our concentrate evaporator.

1 – Chimney for the heat output resulting from the burning of gases in the evaporator. It is jacketed to receive and preheat the concentrate.
2 – Addition of the chemical product.
3 – Exit of the concentrate from the chimney to the evaporator.
4 – Evaporator supply system.
5 – Recirculation of concentrate and chemical products with purge and sludge removal, which will be sent to the sludge box.
6 – Exit of heat from the chimney to the sludge drying box and remove the ash.
7 – Purge and sludge drying box. Ash box.
